2015

The massive success of my 2012 project encouraged me to follow up with another computer lab. With the help of the non-profit organization, Manas Bharati Sansthan, I set up a lab in Badgaon, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. For one week, I taught ten students the basics of the computer. Teaching for over 3 hours each day, I was successfully able to cover how to operate a computer and every major aspect of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). I also introduced them to the World Wide Web, how to navigate it using Google, and helped them create their personal email accounts. I then showed them how to shop online and how to differentiate between reliable sources of information and non-reliable ones. A local teacher is hired to help them continue progressing towards a brighter future.
